Volunteer Point Policy

Each team (9U-19U) is responsible for obtaining at least ten (10) referee points during the season. Parents can earn the referee points for their child's team each time they referee or assistant referee a match.

Volunteer points for refereeing or assistant refereeing are only earned on 9U-19U matches. Each match volunteered at, is worth at least one (1) volunteer point.
Team point totals are calculated on November 1st, prior end of the regular season.
A Teams final fall standings could be affected by not obtaining the minimum volunteer points required.
Teams not meeting the minimum volunteer point requirement set by the region, may not be eligible to participate in the Lake Forest Champions Invitational Tournament.
Teams not meeting the minimum volunteer point requirement set by the region, WILL NOT be approved to represent the Region at any post season tournaments.

LF CHAMPIONS INVITATIONAL

Region 85 Teams from the 10U, 12U and 14U divisions, in ‘good standing’ will be invited to participate in a fall post season tournament – The LF Champions Invitational Tournament. Teams participating in the LF Champions Invitational Tournament, could represent Region 85 at other post season tournaments. Teams may be reviewed on categories/factors such as:

Team/Players

Overall Sportsmanship
No Cautions/No Send Offs received

Coaches:

Proper certification (volunteer application, safe haven, concussion awareness, coach certification)
Player evaluations completed and returned on-time as requested by Division Coordinator
Avoiding match blowouts
Following Region 85 guidelines (i.e. 3/4 play rule, no dogs, coach id cards, player safety, etc.)
No Coach ejections received
